Victoria Rocha

In 2004, Victoria Rocha gave birth to her oldest son in state prison, causing her great distress when her dad and stepmom picked up her baby boy and drove off, leaving her feeling empty and upset. After her release, a few years later, she lost her battle with drug addiction, landing her back in prison and away from her growing family: four boys and one girl in total. But after three years, a judge released her and granted her permission to transfer directly to a rehabilitation center named Evangel Home. There, for the first time, she worked on herself and her relationship with her children. She was determined to prove herself to her family, to her children, and to herself.

Now she is focused on starting a new life with her children and is currently a full-time student at California State University, Fresno. She also works with formerly incarcerated students at Fresno City College as a student peer mentor.
