After an addiction that led her life to incarceration and the loss of custody of her children, LaTanya Reed found herself down a long road to reentry. When released, she felt compelled to sober up, rebuild her life, and become the mother she always wanted to be. She found the rehabilitation services she needed to get sober and began the process of regaining full custody of her children. While completing parenting classes set by Family Court Services, she was in need of a stable place to live. That’s when LaTanya found A New Way of Life Reentry Project which she now calls the “icing on her cake.” Through safe and stable housing, LaTanya was able to find a job, stay sober and regain custody of her children.
