Cornelius Moore is co-director of San Francisco-based California Newsreel, a nonprofit film distribution organization that specializes in films from Africa and the African diaspora. It is one of the oldest and most notable independent media distributors in the U.S. Moore is a strong supporter of many advocacy organizations devoted to democratic change.
